Sketchbook Compilation

So when applying to Carnegie Mellon, they tell you your sketchbook counts as 1 piece. So I'm like...okay, I'm submiting a digital portfolio, so how's that gonna work? They told me to just make a video with the images I wanted to show, so this is what I came up with to show them:

Just started a new series of paintings based on Children Fairytales. Here's the first: a watercolor painting based on Hans Christian Andersen's Thumbelina.

Apparently I have a lot of model friends who like my work, so I was asked to do another shoot. Here's what came out of that one.

I Can Has Progress?

So a new meme was started on DeviantArt, to redraw something old of yours so see how much progress you have made over the years. I have an old box full of drawings and sketchbooks from way back in the day, and by that I mean some 5-6 years ago, back when I was in middle school without any formal art classes. So I went through it and found a piece I felt I could draw pretty easily at this point.

So here you go.

Photoshoot

So a good friend of mine needed some head-shots for an acting resume, and asked me if I could take some pictures of her for it. I've done photography, you know as a hobby and such, but I've never done any glamor shot, photo-shoot thing, so of course I said yes. I am so happy I did.
